Volunteer Work Weekends

The Faire of Champions fairground and Woodcock Woodlands campground are open during each Work Weekend for staff, guilds, and volunteers to work on their individual and group projects in preparation for the upcoming event or season. These weekends are typically filled with planning and work during the day, followed by evening gatherings where we share stories, laugh, and strengthen our bonds of friendship and family.

While many volunteers enjoy working on the land and building, we understand that some may prefer to come out for some much-needed relaxation and socialization with their faire family. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that Woodcock Woodlands will open a small area of the campgrounds for weekend camping.

​

Join us in the woods to relax, soak up nature, explore the paths, and enjoy evening fun and family time. Camping is rustic, so please bring everything you need, but note that a Porta potty is available. Check our work weekend schedule by clicking the Event Schedule button below.

Volunteer Perk List 

35 weekends February 17th – November 30th, 2024 

 

• 8   Hours – Faire Day Pass 

• 16 Hours – Faire Weekend Camping Pass 

• 24 Hours – Faire Weekend Pass 

• 32 Hours –FoC.ing Volunteer T-Shirt 

• 40 Hours – Season Faire Pass 

• 48 Hours – Faire Champions Pass 

 

• Volunteers coming out for workweeks may camp Friday and Saturday night for free. 

• Volunteers are responsible for their own food and drinks, please reserve alcohol for the evenings. 

• Volunteers will need to register and fill out paperwork on their first weekend without exception. 

• Every weekend, volunteers must sign in at the Apple for the weekend to count toward prizes. 

• Weekends will be totaled, and prizes handed out at the 2024 FoCing Party.  

 

Faire Pass Perks work as follows: 

 

*  Your Faire Day Pass will become a Weekend Pass at 24 hours, at 40 hours it becomes a Season Pass and at 48 hours it becomes a Faire of Champions Season Pass.  

** Your camping pass is included until you accumulate the perks for the Champions Season Pass.
