Rules of the Woodcock Woodlands Campground

The spirit of the rules is to be safe and to be considerate of others.

Camping - Space is limited and available on a first come, first served basis.

Water – The property is rustic; please bring your own water.

Electricity - The property is rustic. If you need electricity, you can bring a gas power inverter (preferred) or a generator. Generators and inverters with a 57-decibel rating or higher must be installed in a baffle box.

Noise & Music – Sound carries due to the nature of our woods. Overly loud music can be heard by our surrounding neighbors. Please consider this when playing music.

  • Music is allowed until midnight, then reduced to a lower level of background ambient music until 2:00 AM, when it must be shut off. FoC reserves the right to reduce or terminate any noise at any time for any reason.

  • Quiet hours are in effect from 2:00 AM to 7:00 AM, allowing all campers to enjoy peaceful sleep.

Weapons – Firearms are not allowed on the property during fair season or scheduled events.

Fireworks – Fireworks are not allowed on the property.

Drugs and Alcohol - Illegal drugs or underage drinking will not be allowed in the campgrounds.

Fire - All fires must be contained in an appropriate firepit with legs or placed on pavement stones.

  • No fires directly on or in the ground.

  • All fires must have a fire extinguisher in sight and readily accessible.

  • Do not leave a campfire unattended.

Restrooms - Porta-potty stations are located throughout the property. Do not dump or dispose of camping toilet bags or other trash in the portable toilets. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Wet wipes of any kind (including flushable types)

  • Feminine hygiene products

  • Any paper products not originally intended as toilet tissue by its manufacturer

Trash – Remember the cardinal camping rule: leave it cleaner than you found it. Littering in the campgrounds will not be tolerated.

  • All campers must make sure your campsite is always free of trash.

  • All campers are responsible for ensuring that their trash is picked up and disposed of in trash cans located throughout the property appropriately.

  • All campers must take responsibility for removing all bulk trash items, including chairs, fire pits, tents, and other large objects from the property when they leave.

Pets – Pets are required to be well-behaved and appropriately socialized before being allowed in the campgrounds. Owners are responsible for monitoring their pets closely and should be prepared to take immediate action if behavioral issues arise.

  • Pets must be leashed while walking around the campgrounds with a current rabies vaccination tag.

  • Owners are responsible and liable for their pet’s behavior and actions while in the campgrounds and any damage or injury inflicted by their pet.

  • Pets within camp or guild sites must be properly restrained to ensure they do not leave the designated area or pose a risk to others.

  • All pet waste must be picked up immediately and disposed of by the owner.

  • Pets, except for service dogs, are not permitted inside The Apple or Faire of Champions fairgrounds during events. Service dogs in these areas must remain on the ground and are not allowed on tables or benches.

  • We request that a service dog wear a service vest or identifying collar.

  • Per ADA Requirements:

    • Service animals are defined as dogs that are individually trained to do work or perform tasks for people with disabilities.

    • A service animal must be under the control of its handler. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered unless the individual’s disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service animal's safe, effective performance of tasks. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other adequate controls.

    • A person with a disability cannot be asked to remove his service animal from the premises unless (1) the dog is out of control and the handler does not take effective action to control it or (2) the dog is not housebroken. When there is a legitimate reason to ask that a service animal be removed, staff must offer the disabled person the opportunity to obtain goods or services without the animal’s presence.

    • Staff are not required to care for or supervise a service animal. For more information, please read here: https://www.ada.gov/service_animals_2010.htm

  • Pet owners release and discharge liability for any injuries or damage caused to their pets while on campgrounds or fairgrounds.

Vehicles – Observe the proper roads on the property and do not drive through the woods or community areas.

  • There is limited space, so please be courteous to your camp neighbors and use only the space you need.

  • Vehicles are not allowed to drive on Wandering Way (middle path of property).

  • ATVs or dirt bikes are not allowed in the campgrounds.

  • Do not park on a road at any time for any reason.

RV's - RVs are welcome; however, the property is rustic and does not have RV pads, electric or water hookups, or filling or dumping stations. Please tend to your RV needs before and after your camping visit. Local stations are listed on the website.

Campsites – Please respect the property.

  • Do not put nails, screws, or other objects into the trees.

  • Do not cut down, cut into, or carve on any trees.

  • Do not dig holes in the property.

Access to Events – Camping in the Woodcock Woodlands does not include entrance to any paid events.

Liability Notice: All personal effects left on-site during the fair are at your own risk. FoC/WW assumes no responsibility for any damage or loss resulting from weather events, wildlife, acts of God, trespassers, theft, or any other unforeseen circumstances.

The rules for Woodcock Woodlands are subject to change at any time for any reason without notice. Violators of the posted rules may be subject to removal from campgrounds and suspension of campground privileges.
